Manakkula Vinayagar temple is a popular pilgrimage spot & tourist destination at Pondicherry. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Ganesha named in 16 types based on his various forms.
A wonderful Golden chariot is available in the temple. After receiving blessings from Lord Ganesha, Visited Sri Annai Aurobindo Ashram & Matrimandir (Auroville).
Pondicherry - Shri Annai Aurobindo Ashram & Matrimandir (Auroville) (Temple 134)
Address: Sri Annai Aurobindo Ashram, No.9, Near Junction of Manakula Vinayagar Kovil Street and Marine Street, White Town, Marine Street, Puducherry, 605002
Sri Annai Aurobindo Ashram is a wonderful monastic Institution established for the disciples of Annai (Mira Alfasaa) & Sri Aurobindo. We did meditation at this place & felt a great peace of mind. Then, we got to visit Matrimandir at Auroville.
Matrimandir (The temple of the Mother) was a place of spiritual signiifcance initiated by mother (Mira Alfasaa) & Sri Aurobindo. When we entered, they played a video instructing how the place was constructed so & so. Then, we need to walk 6 kms inside to view Matrimandir.
It was an awesome view of the temple outside. During the time of our visit, visitors were not allowed inside. It was a great tranquil place. From Auroville, we visited Maha Prathyingara Devi temple.
Pondicherry - Maha Prathyingara temple (Temple 135)
Address: Maha Prathyingara Devi temple, Puducherry, 605002
Maha Prathyingara Devi is the most powerful Goddess who reduced the anger of Sarabeswara. The big stature of Prathyingara is placed in open space, and the knuptial knot in her neck is made of 100 pouns of Gold. We have offered our prayers & then visited Sarabeswarar temple nearby.
Pondicherry - Sarabeswarar temple (Temple 136)
Address: Sarabeswarar temple, Puducherry, 605002
Lord Sarabeswarar is another form of Lord Shiva, who is an unique manifestation & vanquisher of Evil forces. He's a great protector of good people.
We had good dharshan at the temple & prayed to Lord Sarabeswarar for good welfare.
Most Blissful day at the temples of Pondicherry.
