Chengalpattu, Pondicherry temples visit - Sep'16 (Part 2)

11th Sep'16:
After receiving blessings from Achumuri Vinayakar, traveled to Pondicherry. Bought lunch from home & had the same at Bharathi Government park and then visited Manakkula Vinayagar temple, Sri Aurobindo Ashram & then to ISKON Pondicherry

ISKCON - Pondicherry

ISKON was located at 1st floor of Krishna Nagar. It was a Hare Krishna movement founded by A.C.Bhakti vedanta Swami Prabhupada. The presiding deity of the temple was Sri Sri Radhava Madhava, Glimpsed the wonderful dharshan of Radhe Krishna and then visited Lakshmi Hayagreevar temple, Pondicherry.

The Idol of Lord Hayagreeva is made of Salagrama stone. Lord & mother are embracing each other with their left & right hands respectively. Lord Hayagreeva is worshiped as the Lord of wisdom. Offered our prayers here and then visited Varadharaja Perumal temple at Pondicherry.

Varadharaja Perumal temple at Pondicherry is believed to be built by Chozhas in 11th century. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Vishnu as Varadharaja perumal & Goddess Lakshmi as Thaayar. There are paintings done in modern days around the walls of the precinct showing the 108 Divya Desams. Had wonderful dharshan & blessings at the temple and then visited Vedhapureeswarar temple.

Vedhapureeswarar temple is located nearby Varadharaja perumal temple where the presiding deity is Lord Shiva in the name of Vedhapureeswarar in the form of Lingam and his consort Parvati as Tiripurasundari. Offered our humble pranams to the deities & then visited Panchavati - Panchamuga Anchaneyar temple.

Panchamuga Anchaneyar temple is located at Tindivanam - Pondicherry road. The Idol of presiding deity Ancheyar is of 36 ft height in standing position. Other deities of the temple are Lord vinayagar, Rama & Sita along with Bharatha & Satrugna. Worshiped all the deities & then visited Aatcheeswarar temple.

Acharapaakam - Aatcheeswarar temple 

Aatcheeswarar temple is incarnated in the hymns of Thirugnana Sambandhar and is listed as one of the 275 Paadal petra stalams. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva in the name of Umai Aatcheeswarar along with his consort Umayambigai. The Shivalingam here is a Swoyambhu (Self manifested). Had had great dharshan & blessings at the temple.
