Another Blissful Saturday at the temples of Mylapore - 3rd June'17

3rd June'17:

On this fine Saturday morning around 9.30 A.M, myself along with my brother - RajKumar Sen started to visit the temples in Mylapore & the first temple we have got to visit was Malleeswarar temple

At Sri Malleeswarar temple 
Sri Malleeswarar temple at Mylapore was one of the Saptastana temples for Lord Shiva worshiped by Saptharishis. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva in the name of Malleeswarar & Goddess Maragadambal.

Other deities available in the temple are Sri Selva Ganapathy, Sri Brahma, Sri Dakshinamurthy, Sri Nataraj, Sri Kala Bhairavar, Sri Subramaniyar along with Valli & Devayanai, Sri Ayyappan & Bhakta Hanuman. Offered our humble prayers to all the deities & then visited Theerthapaleeswarar temple.

Sri Theerthapaleeswarar temple at Mylapore is one of the Saptastana temples for Lord Shiva worshiped by Saptharishis. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva in the name of Theerthapaleeswarar & Goddess Tiripurasundari.

Other deities of the temple are Narthana Vinayagar, Lord Subramaniyar with Valli and Devayanai, Lakshmi Narayanar, Durgai, Bhairavar, Natarajar, Sri Brahma & Sri Anchaneyar. After worshiping the deities here, visited Veerabhadraswamy temple.

At Veerabhadraswamy temple
Veerabhadraswamy temple is located nearer to Madhava perumal temple at Mylapore. The presiding deity of the temple is Veerabhadra. 

Other deities of the temple are Bala vinayak & Subramaniyar located on either sides of the main shrine. Goddess Abhayambigai shrine is available at the temple. Had great dharshan & blessings at the temple and then visited Sri Sakthi vigneswarar temple.

Sri Sakthi vigneswarar temple is a small Ganesha temple located opposite to Apparswamy temple. Offered our prayers to Lord Ganesha and then visited Apparswamy temple

Apparswamy temple is built on the Jeevasamadhi of Appar Swamigal where the presiding deity is Lord Shiva as Appar Swamigal and Goddess Visalakshi amman looks so beautiful. 

Other deities of the temple are Sri Jaya Vinayagar, Sri Maha Vishnu, Sri Dakshinamurthy, Sri Kala Bhairavar, Sri Jaya Durga & Nayanmars. After worshiping the deities here, visited Nava Sakthi Vinayagar temple.

Nava Sakthi Vinayagar / Luz Vinayagar is one of the famous temple at Mylapore where Lord Ganesha is so Powerful. We had a great dharshan of Lord Ganesha, offered our prayers and then visited Alwarpet Anchaneyar temple.

Alwarpet Anchaneyar temple is situated inside the bank is one of the oldest & Powerful Hanuman temple. Hence it'll be crowded always. Offered our Humble prayers to Lord Anchaneya. Jai Shri Ram!
