Pandharpur (Maharashtra) temples visit - 10th Sep'17

Myself along with my parents planned for a Holy Trip to Shirdi via Sairam Subha Yatra package. While reading the book 'Women who lived in God - series 3' written by my Guru Ajayapranaji Mathaji, got to read about the life instances of Chakkubai, and was inspired & desired to visit Vittal temple at Pandharpur. Hence asked the trip organizer to include Pandharpur to the trip.

10th Sep'17:

On this day early morning, started from Chennai around 5 A.M, reached Pune airport around 8.30 A.M, had breakfast and started to Pandharpur via Car. The first temple we got to temple was Shree Pundalik temple.

Shree Pundalik temple is located on the banks of the river Chandrabagha devoted to Lord Vitthal who is a manifestation of Lord Vishnu. Pundarik or Pundalik is credited to have bought Lord Vithoba to Pandharpur. 

The main shrine of Pundalik temple is a five -storey building with a pyramidical gun spire, where the statue of Jaya and Vijaya flanks Lord Vitthal. The temple has got an attractive artificial peak. Offered our pranams to the deities and then visited Sri Vittal Rukmini temple.

Sri Vittal Rukmini temple is the most visited temple in Maharashtra. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Vithoba who is believed to be the local incarnation of Lord Krishna.

The Black Idol of Lord Vithoba & Rukmini is the primary attraction of the temple. Each & Every devotee is allowed to touch the feet of Lord Vithoba. We stood in queue for around 2 hrs and touched the feet of Lord Vithoba and offered our humble prayers to him. There are separate shrines available inside the temple for Lord Vithoba and Rukmini. Legend 'Chakku Bhai' has a great connection with this temple. Had blissful time at the temple and then started to Shirdi.

Consecration of Renovated Shrine at Sri Sarada Mutt - 20th Oct'17

20th Oct'17:

Most Blessed day of my Life !!

Early morning around 8 A.M, started to Sri Sarada Mutt after completing poojas at Home. Offered my Humble pranams to Holy Trios & participated in Bhajans going on.

Got blessings from Ramaprana Mathaji (President of Sri Saradha Mutt, Chennai). Around 9'o clk, Guru Mathaji (Ajayapranaji Mathaji) visited the shrine and did consecration for the new renovated Shrine.

Then, Niveditha Mathaji & 2 other Mathajis started Homem chanting the mantras of Guru Maharaj, Sharadha Maa & Swamiji. We all (devotees) chanted the mantras along with them.

After Homem, again Bhajans started. Then, Guru Mathaji (Ajayapranaji Mathaji) & Ramapranaji Mathaji blessed all the devotees. Offered pranams & got blessings from both of them. Then, Mathajis offered delicious Lunch prasad for everyone.

Had lunch prasad and reached home. Evening, again visited Sri Sarada Mutt, Attended Arathi, got blessings from Guru Mathaji (Ajayapranaji Mathaji) & Ramapranaji Mathaji again. Swadharma pranaji Mathaji said not to cook at home, and provided dinner too. 

21st Oct'17:

On this day, visited Saradha Mutt around 10 A.M., offered my humble pranams to Holy Trios & Did Jaba. Many devotees came from Salur to get Initiation from Guru Mathaji.

Visit to temples at Sai Baba Colony, Coimbatore - 29th June'17

29th June'17:

On this fine Thursday evening, myself along with my mom & Bhavani Chitti started via City bus and got down at Sai Baba Colony, from there we walked to Sakthi Dham temple.

Sakthi Dham temple located at Sai Baba colony is a replica of North Indian Sakthi temples. The temple architecture was too good. The Idols of the temple looks so beautiful.

Offered our Humble pranams to all the deities and then visited Sri Annai Aurobindo Ashram.

Sri Annai Aurobindo Ashram was built on the memory of Sri Annai (Mira Alfassa) & Aurobindo, the great spiritual masters.

Daily Prayers & Poojas are done systematically at this Ashram. Also beautiful Pushpanjali was done during the time of our visit. It was a most Tranquil place for doing meditation.

Offered our prayers to Sri Annai & Aurobindo and then visited Naga Sai Baba temple, got blessings from Baba and attended 6 pm Arathi, felt great inner peace.

Visit to Lord Shiva & Krishna temples at Mannady & Park town - 18th June'17

On this fine Sunday evening, Planned to visit Lord Shiva & Krishna temples at Mannady & Mint Street via train. Got down at Beach station, took an auto and reached Sri Ekambareswarar temple at Mint Street.

Sri Ekambareswarar temple located at Mint Street belongs to one of the Pancha Bhootha Stalams of Chennai representing Earth.

The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva in the name of Ekambareswar and Goddess Parvati Amman. Other deities present in the temple are Lord Ganesha, Subramanyar, Sri Visalakshi amman, Dakshinamurthy, Chandikeswarar, Navagrahas etc., Offered my humble prayers to all the deities and then visited Sri Venugopala Krishna temple.

Sri Venugopala Krishna temple is a rare ancient temple located at Pavalakara Street. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Krishna holding flute standing with legs crossed in his typical pose along with his consorts Bama & Rukmini on his either sides. 

Other deities available in the temple are Lord Rama, Hanuman & Srinivasa Perumal. Had a great dharshan of Lord Krishna, worshiped all the deities and then visited Sri Kalatheeswarar temple.

Sri Kalatheeswarar temple at Mannady is listed as one of the Pancha Bhootha Stalams of Chennai represents Air. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva in the name of Kalatheeswarar and Goddess Gnanaprasannambikai. 

The temple renovation was going on, on the day of my visit. Got blessings from Lord Shiva and then visited Sri Mallikeswarar temple.

Sri Mallikeswarar temple is located nearer to Kalatheeswarar temple and has got rich temple architecture. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva in the name of Mallikeswarar and Goddess Maragadhambal.

Other deities present in the temple are Lord Ganesha, Vishnu, Brahma, Dakshinamurthy, Nagar statues, Bala Murugan, Navagrahas & 63 Nayanamars. Offered my humble prayers to all the deities.

Visit to Sri Subramanya Swamy temple, Tiruthani - 13th Aug'17

13th Aug'17:

On this fine day, early morning, I have started via train to Tiruthani, took an auto from Tiruthani station & reached Sri Subramanya Swamy temple.

Sri Subramanya Swamy temple at Tiruthani belongs to one of the six holy abodes of Lord Muruga. The hillock temple has got 365 steps representing 365 days of the year.

The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Muruga in the name of Sri Subramanyar. Legend says that Subramanyar married Valli who hailed from the Vallimalai hills nearby. Also there is a saying that Skanda imparted knowledge of Tamil to the sage Agasthyar and he is regarded as Veeramurthy, Gnanamurthy and Acharyamurthy in this Shrine.

Special dharshan tickets were available for Rs.150, but stood in queue for around 1hr and got to see (General dharshan) wonderful dharshan of Lord Muruga. The Idol of Lord Muruga seems to be so beautiful. Had great divine feel at the temple.
