Holy Mother's Birthday Celebration - 20th Dec'16

18th Dec'16:

Swadharma Pranaji Mathaji asked me & my mom to visit Saradha Mutt to participate in Volunteering activities for Holy Mother's Birthday. 

On this day, we participated in Brasso work along with Seethamma aunty, had lunch at Mutt.

19th Dec'16:

Volunteering activities continued for the subsequent day. We reached the Mutt around 1.30pm. I have participated in Peeling the pees of 10kgs, and then separating coriander leaves, finally with making thoranam (Hanging Decorations).

My mother participated in Garland making & many other aunties who used to come regularly participated in other activities.

Mathajis decorated Holy Mother's stature with flowers & garlands. We have also attended 6pm Arathi & reached home around 8.30pm.

20th Dec'16:

Holy mother's Birthday was celebrated in a grand manner. Halls were decorated. Mangala Arathi started at 5.30 AM followed by Bhajans, Homem etc.,

Myself with mom reached the Math around 6.30 am, Vani aunty was participating in selling portraits of Holy Mother, Gurudevar, Swamiji & Sister Nivedita. Regular volunteers participated in various activities.

We participated in scraping of Carrot & Cucumber. Brahmacharinis served us with Breakfast.

On this fine evening, received a call from Yathindrapranaji Mathaji around 5.15 pm to visit  Sri Rama Krishna Mutt, T.Nagar and meet Sankara Maharaj to enquire details about Belur Math.

Sankara Maharaj asked me to fill out the forms to get permission for accommodation at Belur Math, Maharaj blessed with prasadham (Rock Candy) and also gifted the book "Thus Spake Vivekannada".

Then attended Arathi at Ramakrishna Mutt. It was an Ekadasi day. Many school children also participated in Arathi, really it was a divine feel.

Then visited the Library at Ramakrishna Mutt, met Yadunadha Maharaj, who shared various spiritual experiences of him.

On the auspicious day of Shri Rama Navami, Myself along with Bhavani Chitti visited ISKCON near Codissia, Coimbatore.

A Hare Krishna temple dedicated to do loving service to Lord Krishna founded by A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

 We reached the temple around 11 AM. Participated in Noon poojas, afternoon we did service by helping trustee members to make garlands for evening pooja & making of Santhanam powder.

Around 4.30pm in the evening, poojas started. 'Tulsi pooja' followed by Arathi, upanyasam etc.,

An Idol of Swami Prabhupada was also placed in the temple. We attended the poojas & Upanyasam till 8.30 pm.

Trustee members also served us with delicious dinner. Wrote Rama Namas for the entire day and it was a most Blissful Rama Navami..

23rd Nov'16:

Most Blissful day of my life !!

At early morning, around 6.30 am, myself along with my mom reached Sri Sarada Math. Around 15 people came for initiation that day. 

Few Volunteers gathered all the items & arranged the same properly in different trays which were supposed to be given as Guru Dakshina.

Around 7.15 am, Ajayapranaji Mathaji called everyone inside a separate room.

Mathaji shared few stories, it was not WE who decides the Guru, but only the Guru who selects their disciples. 

Once at Thrissur, a disciple named C.P.Menon came for getting initiation from Guru Maharaj. Guru Maharaj read the names of the list of people who came for initiation. When he called out the name C.P.Menon, Guruji said, I have seen her but I never know her. Then he asked the same to every monks & nuns of the mutt. Everyone replied the same, 'I have seen her, but I never know her'. So Guruji asked her to come next year for Initiation. Guruji felt bad seeing her crying.

Next year, Guruji gone through the names in the list and when he read the name C.P.Menon, Guruji said, please call her. But a Mathaji replied, she's with her son now at Delhi, no flights available. Hence she couldn't reach. The very next year again, when Guruji came to give initiation, she was suffering from Flu and couldn't even get up, by the same year Guru Maharaj attained Mahasamadhi. Till the end, C.P.Menon couldn't get initiation from Guru Maharaj, but the very next year, she got initiation from Pravrajika Bharathipranaji.

ONLY GURU DECIDES, WHOM TO BE THEIR DISCIPLES.

It was a great blessing for us to get initiation from the Most Revered Ajayapranaji Mathaji. 

Before giving Initiation, Mathaji taught us few mantras to get blessings from Lord Shri Ramakrishna, Shri Sarada mani Devi, Swami Vivekananda & Paramaguru Sankarananda Maharaj.

Then Mathaji gave Initiation for us !! Happiee that we entered in to Guru Parambara !!

Greatest Blessing of my Life !!

18th Nov'16:

On  this fine day I have received a call from Mathaji Yatindrapranaji, it was a great news. 

Mathaji informed me that Ajayaprana Mathaji will be coming to Chennai and will be giving Initiation to devotees on 23rd Nov'16 and asked me to visit Sri Sarada Math to collect the forms & fill the same.

On the same evening, myself along with my mom visited Sri Sarada Math and received the forms.
Mathaji also gave the following book which gives the instructions to prepare our mind before Initiation

Myself and my mom filled the forms, read the book and was eagerly waiting for the Initiation day. 

22nd Nov'16:

Most Revered Ajayaprana Mathaji arrived to Sri Sarada Math on this evening, gave blessings to all of us. 

Another Mathaji from Sri Saradha Math gave instructions to be followed on the day of Initiation

1. Dress code should be followed strictly. Men are supposed to wear Dhothies & Women are supposed to wear Saree 

2. People who are taking Initiation should come with a Fresh mind & Pure Heart. Everyone should take head bathe, wear neatly washed clothes.

3. Everyone should bring Guru Dakshinai with Fruits, Flowers, Sweets, Vastra etc.,

Thrissur Temples Visit - Dec'15

26th Dec'15:

On a fine Saturday morning, Myself along with my parents & my brother started to Thrissur via City bus. From Thrissur bus stand, we hired a call taxi to visit various temples.

This is the first Shiva temple created by Lord Parasurama. The temple was magnificent and has got 4 gopurams indicating 4 directions - North, west, East & South. The temple was also listed in UNESCO cultural Heritage list

We have worshiped all the deities of the temple - Lord Ganapathy, Lord Ayyappa, Lord Subramanya, Lord Shiva as Vadakunnathan, Lord Vishnu, Lord Devi, Lord Surya, Lord Nagaraja & Lord Hanuman and got blessings from everyone.

Next we visited Thiruvambadi Krishna temple. The main deity of the temple is Lord Krishna in nascent avatar. Glimpsed the wonderful dharshan of Lord Krishna, then we worshiped Lord Dharmasaastha & Ganesha.

Afternoon, we spent some time in Athirapally falls, visited few other natural attractions.

Around 5pm, we got to visit Paramakkevu Bhagavathy temple, the lamps were lit and it was an awesome view.

The main deity of the temple is Goddess Durga in the form of Bhagavathy. Had Blissful evening at the temple.

Arulmigu Masaniamman temple Visit - Nov'15

3rd Nov'15:

On a Fine Early morning (tuesday), myself along with my mom & Bhavani Chitti started to Arulmigu Masaniamman temple via City Bus. We got down at Pollachi and then got in to another bus to reach the temple.

Arulmighu Masaniamman temple is otherwise called Anaimalai Masaniamman which is also called as 'Temple of Justice'. The temple is situated around 15 kms from Pollachi.

The main deity of the temple is Masaniamman, huge 17 ft long idol in reclined position with Skull in one hand, serpent in other hand & with trident in one hand & Udukkai in other hand.

Legend says, when Lord Rama was set to search Sita, he stayed at Anaimalai graveyard for a while. Before leaving for Srilanka, Lord Rama created an Idol of Goddess for worship using Clay. Masaniamman blessed Lord Rama on his triumph over evil and winning his devoted wife back.

We got to see 12pm poojas along with Abhishekam. Had wonderful dharshan & got blessings from Masaniamman.

Inspired by Jainism

For the past few days, am really inspired by the principles of Jainism - a religion that teaches the way to liberalization and bliss is to live lives of harmlessness. Their concern for the welfare of every being in the universe and for the health of the Entire universe itself.

The 5 Anuvratas followed by Jains all over the world was really inspiring.

1. Non violence - Ahimsa

2. Truthfulness - Satya
3. Non Stealing - Achaurya
4. Chasity - Brahmacharya
5. Non possession - Aparigraha

On this fine evening, I got to visit Shri Shanthinath Jain Temple around 4.40 pm. It was a beautiful marble temple. The main deity of the temple was Lord Shanthinath with 2 other shrines - Sunvrath & Shreyasanath on either sides.

12th Nov'16:
On  Saturday, visited this temple again with my mom. It was a blissful evening!!

Blissful Ekadasi day at Sri Saradha Mutt

Ekadasi is an Auspicious day which occurs twice in Hindu Calendar month. One is in the first half of the month when moon is growing and the other is in the second half of the month when moon is Shrinking. 

Ekadasi is set to observe fast to Please Lord Krishna, and also engage our time by Chanting his Namas or doing some other devotional service. 

10th Nov'16:

On this fine Ekadasi evening, I have started earlier from office to Participate in Ekadasi - Nama Ramayanam Chanting at Sri Sarada Mutt.

Myself along with my mom participated in the chanting. It was an Amazing feel, felt great inner peace. They have kept the portrait of Lord Rama along with Sita & Laxmana, did poojas with Prasadham, Aarthi and  distributed Prasadham for all of us. After the Chanting, spoke to Mathajis, then participated in Aarathi at 6pm.

For very long days, am having a thirst of Seeing GOD. From the books of Lord RamaKrishna, he mentioned that a Guru is essential to travel in Spiritual Path. 

Lord RamaKrishna mentioned, a guide is essential for every activity. Even a robbery can be done properly only with the proper guidance of an Expert. Then think of travelling in Spiritual Path - First you need to find out a Guru, and with the guidance of Guru, you can travel in spiritual Path.

Inspired by this words, I have sent a mail to Sri Saradha Mutt office at Kolkata. I have received reply from Mother Atmabodhaprana, to visit Sri Sarada Mutt at Ragaviah road, Chennai and talk to Mathajis about my interest as am a resident of Chennai.

On a fine Saturday evening, I have visited Sri Saradha Mutt at T.Nagar, Chennai.

It was an Enchanting Experience to meet Dhivyavradhaprana Mathaji, Mathaji was such a lovable person. We spoke a lot about Spiritualism. I was able to feel the true Love from every words she uttered. I asked her many questions, how she has chosen the Monastic Institution, at what age she decided to be a Saint etc etc., For everything she answered patiently. 

Mathaji gave me the following 3 books, and asked me to start reading the same.


1. அன்னை ஸ்ரீ சாரதா தேவியின் அன்பு மொழிகள் - திரட்டு

2. இருள் நீக்கிய அருள் தீபங்கள்

3. பேசும் பிரபஞ்சம்

First I have started reading the 1st book, Annai Sri Sarada Deviyin Anbu Mozhigal - Thirattu. Day by day, am really feeling lot of changes within myself. 

On every Ammavasa (No moon Day), they used to read "Sri Lalitha Sahasra Naamam" around 5 pm. On that day, I have participated in reading Lalitha Sahasra Nama along with Mathajis, followed by Aarathi at 6pm.

Most Enchanting Experience !! My mind was so peaceful.
