Guruvayur is a thriving township in the Thrissur district of Kerala. It's another pleasant visit to Kerala.

Guruvayur Shri Krishna temple (Temple 88)
Address: Guruvayur Shri Krishna temple, Guruvayur Devaswom, East Nada, Guruvayur, Kerala 680101
Guruvayurappan temple is one of the most important places of worship also referred as 'Bhoologathu Vaikunda' & 'Dwaraka of South India'.
On the day of our visit, it was more crowded at the temple. Electronic items like mobile, cameras etc., were not allowed inside the temple. We stood in the queue to place it in a store room. Also special dharshan tickets were not available. We stood in the queue for about 4 hrs and got to see the Dharshan.
The presiding deity of the temple - Unni Krishna looks so beautiful. Offered our Humble pranams to Little Krishna & then visited Mammiyur Mahadev Kshetram around 4pm.
Mammiyur Mahadev Kshetram (Temple 89)

As per rituals, every devotee who visits Guruvayur temple should visit Mammiyur Mahadev Kshetram. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva in the form of Uma Maheswara. Other deities present in the temple are Ganapathy, Lord Vishnu & Dharamasaastha.
Similar to Kerala temples, dress code is strictly followed at this temple. They are not even allowing people wearing salwars, which is considered as a traditional attire now a days. They have offered a Mundu and asked to wear it above the salwar and allowed in. We had a great dharshan at the temple. After worshiping the deities here, took an auto and reached to Kodungallur Bhagavathy temple.
