It was a Ramzan Holiday !!
Myself along with my mom planned to visit few temples at Mylapore. We have reached Mylapore bus terminus around 4.30 pm, from there we took an auto to Velleeswarar temple.
Mylapore - Velleeswarar temple (Temple 58 ; Sapthasthana temple for Lord Shiva 1)

Velleeswarar temple belongs to one of the sapthasthana temples of Lord Shiva at Mylapore worshiped by saptharishi - Adri, Brigu, Kusta, Vashishta, Gautama, Kasyapa and Angirasa.
The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva in the name of 'Velleeswarar' and Goddess Kamakshi. We got to see Aarathi & offered our prayers.
Mylapore - Mundagakanni amman temple (Temple 59)

Then we walked to Mundagakanni amman temple.
Worshiped the presiding deity - Mundagakanni amman with twin arms and donned with serpent crown.
Other deities of the temple are Nagam under Banyan tree, Nardhana Vinayagar, Murugan, Ayyappan, Hanuman & Dakshinamurthy in separate shrines. After seeking blessings from all the deities, visited Madhava perumal temple.

Madhava perumal temple is one of the two ancient temples of Lord Narayana with the two sacred names Madhava & Kesava.
The presiding deity of the temple is Madhava perumal along with his consort Lakshmi as Amrithagadavalli. We had blissful time at the temple and then visited Adi Kesava perumal temple.
Mylapore - Aadhikesava perumal temple (Temple 61)

Aadhi kesava perumal temple is located adjacent to Madhava perumal temple. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Vishnu worshiped as Sri Aadhi Kesava perumal and his consort as Mayuravalli thaayar.
This temple is believed to the Birth place of Peyazhwar and there is a separate shrine for the Sanit - Peyazhwar. We have offered our humble prayers everywhere & then visited Srinivasa Perumal temple.

Address: Srinivasa Perumal temple, Alamelu Manga Puram, Sankarapuram, Mylapore, Chennai - 600004
It has started raining heavily at the time we left the temple. Booked a cab and reached home.

Sri Vedana desikar Srinivasa perumal is located next to Sri Aadhikesava perumal temple. The Idol Maha Vishnu looks so beautiful. Had a great divine feel at the vibrant & active temple.
